MARCH BEGINS WITH SOME
GLADNESS!
A pastor friend of mine in Michigan loves to
replace the word "madness" with "gladness" and I'm adopting his style as we
bring you up to date on what God is doing in our ministry! We are glad to
report that God has been at work again in our lives in preparation for hitting
the road again as a Team.
For those of you who may not remember, we've been split up, with Joe
and Bethany in Greenville, SC, at Terry and Lynn Snows, and the Ben Everson
family up in Wilson, NC at Tabernacle Baptist Church.
Joe has been working on his drawing, and turning
out some incredible products! You can check those out at www.joeeverson.com. Joe's mentioned that
the time off the road has helped him focus in on drawing more. They were able
to travel up to Wisconsin to visit family on both sides! We're looking forward
to getting back with them to travel!
BEN EVERSON FAMILY AT
TBC
We have just completed nearly 8 weeks with the
folks at Tabernacle Baptist Church. What a wonderful time we had there! Pastor
Jeff Davis and the people took such good care of us. We will miss these good
people. For our last Sunday, we did a concert of the new music Ben is featuring
on his new solo CD due out the first of April. We felt so much a part of the folks there and it was hard to leave.
The youth group gave us a surprise going away
present: they washed our truck and trailer! They did a great job too. Last
week, men in the church welded our fresh water tank back in place, replaced a
broken fridge vent cover, built a new pantry shelf and other desperately needed
things. It also enabled Ben to reseal the roof!
MINISTRY WITH THE JERRY SIVNKSTY
FAMILY
We also had the privilege of ministering during the
week of revival meetings with Jerry Sivnskty and his wife. Ben and Amanda
provided music during the week, and it was a special time of getting to know
them better. Ben found it quite funny when Brother Davis mentioned going to a
pastor's prayer breakfast with Ben and Jerrys. Ha! It was a great recharging
time too, as Ben usually is the one doing the preaching but got to listen this
time!
We want to give a huge thank you to the TBC folks;
you helped us at a key time and we were privileged to be a part of the ministry
along with you these last two months! May God bless you and continue to
lead!
CAPPING THINGS
OFF
We left NC and traveled down to Ft. Myers, FL, for
Ben to play for (and sing with) the Calvary Quartet for the weekend. We decided
to come down as a family in our trailer and we're currently sitting at the
Winkler Road Baptist Church, and we just enjoyed a great day of ministry with
the quartet! Ben was able to teach Sunday School, and the day went
well.
That is, until we started getting sick! The reason
this newsletter is titled, "Get the news out, quick!" is that our daughter Elena
"became ill" all over the church foyer tonight at the end of the service, and it
appears that the illness is spreading to the rest of us. I am feeling quite
terrible as I write this, but we wanted to get this out to our prayer partners!
If we have to deal with a little sickness like the rest of the world, that's
ok! Not that we'll enjoy it, but that's part of life. Would you pray we can
get back on our feet in time to get back to Greenville for us to fly out to
California for a week of meetings? That's very important!
Other quick prayer requests as I try to finish
quickly:
- Amanda is epileptic; most of you know that. But for
the last 5 years, her medications have been covered by insurance. As of
February, we have been without health insurance for her for the first time since
we've been married. Her meds cost $300 per month. Would you pray that this
need would be met? We will be appealing the decision and we'd appreciate your
prayers!
Well, that's all I can handle right now. I'm going
to have to sign off. I need to go crash. I hope I haven't forgotten anything!
Oh, yes, a new CD will be released the first of April with a bunch of original
songs! Be looking for that!
For now, God bless, and keep pressing
forward!!
Sincerely,
Bro. Ben Everson
on behalf of all the Bible Revival
Families
